Realme GT Master Edition Software Update:

Realme has started the incremental rollout of the April 2022 Android security patch via OTA for the Realme GT Master Edition model. The latest security patch carries the build number RMX3360_11.C.06 which brings us the following updates: Security, System, Camera, Photos, Status bar, and Home screen.

Realme GT Master Edition was released on 30th July 2021 with Android 11, Realme UI 2.0 out-of-the-box.

For the home screen issue, they fixed the black screen bug which appears after tapping on an app icon. On the lock screen, a battery icon display issue has been fixed which was seen earlier in the previous version. It also fixed the new album issue where your existing photos and albums might get deleted when you create a new album.

The update has a package size of 0.94 GB which is a big update for Security Patch. The device is also getting some minor fixes in-camera with some optimization of back-lit photos, image noise, and photo effects in some scenarios for better results and to enhance the user experience.

Remember that this is a staged rollout by Realme to ensure there are no critical bugs. It will be randomly pushed to a few users and during the broader rollout, it will reach the rest of the users. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed within a few days.

Realme has started the staged rollout of the April 2022 Android security patch via OTA for Realme 9 5G model. The latest security patch carries the build number RMX3388_11.A.04 which brings Security, Network, and System updates.

It integrates the April 2022 Android security patch for the security of the system. The new update also increases the network stability which was an issue in the last update. Realme has also fixed system instability by fixing some of the previously known issues.

Realme 9 5G was released on March 14th 2022, with Realme UI 2.0 Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Realme has started the staged rollout of the April 2022 Android security patch via OTA for the Realme Narzo 20A model. The latest security patch carries the build number RMX2050_11.C.08 which brings Security and System updates. It integrates the March 2022 and April 2022 Android security patches.

The new update fixes a home screen issue where after you install an application from Google Play, an "Android" appears on the home screen. The new update also enhances the Dual-mode audio feature. which was an issue in the earlier update. In some cases, it also boosts system performance.

Realme Narzo 20A was released in September 2020 with an Android 10 out-of-the-box.

Realme 9 Pro 5G Software Update:

Realme has started the incremental rollout of the April 2022 security patch with A.35 build via OTA for Realme 9 Pro 5G model. The latest security patch brings the build number RMX3471_11.A.35 which carries Security, System, and Camera updates. This is probably a hotfix to a prior security patch with A.34 Build.

The update integrates the April 2022 Android security patch. It also fixed the rear camera mode which was earlier facing the problem of blurriness which has now been optimized in the new update. System performance has been enhanced and some of the previously known issues have been fixed.

Realme 9 Pro 5G was released on 16th February 2022, with Realme UI 3.0-based Android 12 out-of-the-box.

Note that this is a staged rollout by Realme to ensure there are no critical bugs. It will be available to a few users and during the broader rollout, it will reach the rest of the users. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed within a few days.

Google Pixel Series Software Update:

Google Pixel series has started receiving the incremental update of the May 2022 Android security patch via OTA for some eligible models. On the first Monday of each month, Google releases the Android Security Bulletin. Pixel users have received the update in the first week of May.

Talking about the new improvements in the system, the new update fixed a graphical error where the device woke up without the user intervention. Some modifications to sensory feedback in specific situations and scenarios can also be seen in the Sensors. In some circumstances, the launcher might crash after restarting the device in certain circumstances.

The May 2022 security patch was released on 2nd May, 2022.

From Pixel 3a to Pixel 6 Pro, all the devices supporting Android 12 are receiving the update. Remember that this is a staged rollout. It is rolling out in phases to ensure that no critical bugs are found and users will receive the OTA notification once the update is available for their Pixel device.

Android 13 Beta 1:

Google has finally released the first beta build program for beta testing of Android 13. You should receive Android 13 Beta 1 as an OTA software update. The Android 13 Beta 1 has finally released after two developer reviews in February and March. Google has been working on making a bug-free version for the future building core themes, strengthening privacy and security, and supporting other devices and screens as well.

Obviously, there are going to be issues with the beta testing since it is the first beta program and three more are to be released before they release the final version later in 2022. But, hopefully, there wouldn't be some flamboyant issues. Earlier it had received two developer previews which had minor changes in the system.

Beta 1 introduces updated audio routing APIs and implemented new permissions for more granular access to media files. On May 11 and 12, more information regarding the beta testing and features will be shared at the Google I/O conference. For the next software builds, you will be getting it just like any other normal updates.   • The newest upgrades to previously announced features, including the new notification permission, customized app icons, better localization and language support, and more, are included in Beta 1. For Android 13, they have also been working on the privacy and security areas to improve the experience of the users while providing them with new APIs.
  • They are also introducing more granular permissions for access to some media files. Earlier, one permission was asked for all the three formats, which paved the way for access to all the media files. But now, they have broken it down into three different permissions- images, audio, and video.
• Enhanced reporting of errors in Keymint and Keystore
  • Talking about new peculiarities, you can now change the procedures for key generation, signing, and encryption. You should now be able to retry key generation thanks to the enhanced error reporting. Using KeyStore and KeyMint, you now have more detailed and accurate error indicators.

  • Starting from the basics, you can see the sentence "Enter your PIN" when you switch on your Pixel smartphone. While entering your pin, the impressions on the keypad have been improved and customized which is another cool feature of the Android 13 Beta 1.
  • Another cool feature that has been introduced/added in the pre-release is the "Control from locked device". If you go to the settings, then in Display, and then Lockscreen, you'll find an option named "Control from locked device". This feature will let you control external devices in your home without unlocking your phone. Just simply switch on the phone and on the bottom left, you can access all the options such as switching on/off office lamps or lights.

• Wallpapers
  • In the new version, you have an abundance of wallpapers and basic colours to choose from Material YOU dual colours. There are more than 10 different palettes and four sections of basic colours so you can easily customize the display of your phone whilst having many colours and styles to choose from.

• Refined Media and Tiles Settings
  • You can see some of the icon changes when you scroll down for tiles and settings. Secondly, Priority Mode has been changed to Do Not Disturb mode. Some little changes in the Cast device option can also be seen such as light theme and icon replacement.

• Change in Settings
  • Talking about overall changes in settings, some of the previously added features in the Developer Preview have been either removed or their place has been shifted to another tab or settings. The names of some of the features have also been changed. For example, Follow Typing is now called as Magnify Typing. App Languages feature has been removed in Beta 1. A graphical presentation can also be seen or viewed under Button Navigation.

  • Google is also working on providing users with the option to adjust the screen resolution. Basically, the user will be provided with two resolutions of adjustments- 1080p FHD+ and 1440p QHD+.

For developers, there are many more details to look into and explore including the privacy features, Bluetooth LE audio, and the new list of APIs that improve audio routing and build a great experience for the user. We can expect three more beta releases by the company in the future. In June and July, they will be proceeding towards Platform Stability and furthermore, we can expect the final release of Android 13 later in 2022. Realme has started the software update for Realme C35 via OTA in phases for the month of April. The April 2022 security patch brings the build number RMX3511_11.A.25 which brings the Security, Camera, and System fixes. It integrates the April 2022 Android security patches.

For the camera fix, the update fixes the front camera clarity system for a better experience of clicking the pictures. The system update also fixed the Netlfix HD icon which wasn't displaying earlier and fixed some previously known issues to stabilize the system.

Realme Narzo 50 Software Update:

Realme has started the staged rollout of the April 2022 security patch via OTA for Realme Narzo 50 model. With a update file size of 591 MB the latest security patch with build number RMX3286_11_A.54 carries the April 2022 security patch which fixes some security and system issues.

The update integrates the April 2022 Android security patch. The model's system stability was an issue before this update, so this patch fixed some previously known issues and improved system stability.

Realme Narzo 50 was released on 24th February, 2022 with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Remember, this is a staged rollout. To ensure there are no critical bugs, they are rolling the update in stages. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in the upcoming days and will reach all the users soon.

Realme 9i Software Update:

Realme has started rolling out the incremental update of the April 2022 security patch via OTA for the Realme 9i model. The latest build number RMX3491_11.A.14 carries Security, WLAN, and System updates with its latest patch which integrates the April 2022 Android security patch.

Earlier, Wi-Fi connectivity was unstable for Realme 9i but the April 2022 patch has optimized Wi-Fi connection stability. It has also stabilized the system by fixing some previously known issues to improve system performance and stability.

Realme 9i was released on 10th January, 2022 with Android 11 out-of-the-box.

Note that this is a staged rollout to ensure the stability of this update. The update will be randomly pushed to a limited number of users to rule out any critical bugs. If no critical bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed within a few days.

Previously, it had received the March 2022 Security Patch with A.12 Build which had bough improvements in the camera quality taken by the rear camera of the device.

OnePlus Nord 2 Software Update:

OnePlus has started rolling out the Open Beta, based on Android 12, for OnePlus Nord 2 users. Users can participate in their Open Beta program and all the participants should update Open Beta to the latest version to meet the latest upcoming build.

Also, note that some functionality of the Pac-Man edition may be lost, so it is recommended that OnePlus Nord 2 Pac-Man Edition customers skip this update and wait for the next version to arrive.

Realme has begun the staged rollout of the April 2022 security patch via OTA for the Realme GT model. The latest security patch carries the build number RMX2202_11.C.16 which fixes some security, system, and camera issues.

Realme GT was released on 18th August, 2021 with Android 11 Out-of-the-box.

The official changelog comes with the security update which integrates the March 2022 and April 2022 Android security patches. It also increases the stability of the device to improve system performance and enhance the experience of the user. It also fixed the issue in the status bar where the icons were not displayed properly when the screen is locked.

The update also improved the fingerprint sensor/recognition to unlock the phone easily as it was not working properly before. Photos taken by the 64MP camera is optimized and enhanced to enhance the camera quality and experience of the user.
