Recently released budget smartphone from Micromax, the Micromax IN 2B has now received its first Software Update with the latest August 2021 Android Security Patch Update.

Micromax, an Indian OEM, has now released the latest Software Update for one of their devices soon after its release. This move simply ends our question, which was, “Why Indian OEMs don’t provide regular updates?”.

The Micromax IN 2B is currently available on Flipkart as we mentioned in our Tweet. It is particularly trending among budget smartphones.

Regarding its Software Update, the news of the Micromax IN 2B August 2021 Android Security Patch Update has been confirmed by the users online. The update brings general bug fixes along with some performance improvements.

The Micromax IN 2B was released in July 2021 with an Android 11 out-of-the-box.

How long will it get updates?

The Micromax IN 2B comes with an Android 11 out-of-the-box. And it will reportedly receive two major OS updates.

Hence, it is eligible for the Android 12 and 13 updates. The Android 13 will most probably be the last major OS update on the device.
