Oneplus 9 Pro: December 2021 OTA Update with Android 12 [C.40 Build]
OnePlus 9 Pro software update:
Oneplus has released another OTA patch or Hotfix for Oneplus 9 Pro, in the month of December 2021. This update tries to fix system upgrade failure in which, the device has a few problems while updating the software of the device along with better connectivity of 5G is some scenarios.
Release date: the update was released on 30th December 2021
In particular, as per the OnePlus community, this update doesn’t solve this problem for affected users, At the beginning of December 2021 OnePlus had released a stable OxygenOS 12 for 9 Series but unfortunately, it had a tremendous amount of bugs which they had re-called after a few days.
Just after a week, OnePlus released New OxygenOS 12 with Android 12 update for 9 Series of devices carrying the C.39 Build and December 2021 Security Patch along with it.
This update [C.39 Build] had fixed quite a few bugs, but the main bug of software not upgrading is carried to most devices which are affecting the Community of Red Cable & Other issues.

How long will it get updates?
As this is the first major android upgrade the OnePlus 9 Pro is getting, It still has two more major android build that is Android 13 & Android 14 respectively. Current OS Android 12 with OxygenOS 12 as of December 2021.
The OnePlus 9 Pro will receive three years of major OS updates and four years of Security updates.
Therefore, Android 12 will be the first major OS update on this device and it is also eligible to be on the Android 13 and Android 14 update list as well.
