Pixel Series: November 2021 Security Patch with Hotfix for Android 12
Pixel Series Software Update:
The Pixel Series is getting their first security patch, update after the release of Android 12, along with the newer Pixel 6 Series, this update brings November 2021 Security Patch mainly but also brings a bunch of improvements to the Android 12 UI & System.
From Pixel 3a to Pixel 6 devices are getting the latest update
Every month Google publishes Android Security Bulletin on the very first Monday of every month. Thus it’s no surprise as Google released its November 2021 Security patch on the first day of the month.
Google published the Android Security Bulletin for November 2021 with security updates yet to reach Pixel Phones. This is the very first update to hit Android 12, with Google Pixel 6 series having already received the same as Day-1 OTA.
On most phones, the November patches will land as part of a minor update to their existing Android 10, Android 11, or Android 12-based builds.
Google’s Pixel came about as a brand in 2013 which runs on Android operating system.

Pixel Series starts getting Stable Android 12 OTA Update
Pixel phones receive Android version updates for at least three years from when the device first became available.
Google plans, to extend their update policy from Pixel 6 onwards!!
Pixel phones get security updates for at least 3 years from when the device first became available on the Google Store.

How to update your Pixel Smartphone?
To check for updates in your pixel phone,
- Open your phone’s Settings app
- Near the bottom, tap System > Advanced > System update.
- You’ll see your update status. Follow any steps on the screen.
- Check for an Update:
- To check if a security update is available, tap Security update.
- To check if a Google Play system update is available, tap Google Play system update.
Do check periodically to see an update is available.
