Realme X and XT get early access to Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 in India

Indian users of Realme X and XT can finally rejoice because their long-awaited wait is over as Realme has started the early access program for their Realme X, XT devices in India as of June 2021. It was announced on the official Realme Community.

Realme X and XT – Android 11

Both the Realme X and Realme XT were released with an Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box in July 2019 and September 2019 respectively. The Realme X device received the major Android 10 update in February 2020 and the Realme XT received the stable Android 10 update in January 2020. The users of these devices were eager to get their hands on Android 11 and they will now get it via the Realme UI 2.0 based on Android 11.

Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) early access program

The early access program aims to invite fans to experience the Realme UI new features based on Android 11 for the first time. Realme has opened the early access program for its Realme X and Realme XT from 11th June 2021. The program will be available to a limited number of Realme X, XT users as there are a limited number of seats, to begin with.

Some important points to keep in mind before applying for the program

• Please make sure your phone is not rooted.
• To prevent data loss, please backup your personal data before proceeding.
• Some third-party application versions might not be compatible with Android 11 yet, after updating these applications might not be available or crash on your device. Therefore, it is recommended to update all your applications to the latest version available on the Play Store before your update.
• The Early Access versions may have an unpredictable impact on your phone and (an) effect on daily use.
• Please ensure that the available phone storage is more than 5GB. Otherwise, there will be a risk of update failure (To check the phone storage head to Settings > Additional Settings > Storage).
• Due to unpredictable factors such as network communication and strategy adjustment, it is not possible to guarantee that every applicant will receive the update. In case the update is not received, we suggest you patiently wait for the official release.
• Make sure your battery is above 60%.

How to apply for the Early access program for Realme X, XT?

To apply for the early access program of Android 11 based Realme UI 2.0 in Realme X, XT devices, here are the two basic steps :

1. Update your device to the required UI version→ RMX1921EX_11_C.13 (Realme XT), RMX1901EX_11.C.11 (Realme X)
2. Apply for Early access via the Software Update Application channel: (Settings > Software Update > Tap on the settings icon in the top right corner > Trial Version > Apply Now > Submit your details and finish the quiz).
