Redmi Android 11: Update Tracker Devices that have received the update so far yes, Redmi devices are always targeted to budget segment of users and mostly these devices aren't a big fan of major OS updates from Xiaomi and mostly are targeted to upgrading their MIUI versions which act as providing new features with old android build, though it's good but at long-term it's drawback for app developers and longevity of the phone hinders.
Redmi devices will get android 11 based on MIUI 12 or 12.5 depending upon the device.
Redmi android 11 update is unlikely, their is not schedule they have randomly picked devices and started making their android 11 update testing and all of sudden they started rolling the updates, the have become the most unpredictable OEM who does whatever they want and whenever they want. But its thing as majority of its devices are already running on android 11 on china, though it doesn't matter actually as Google services aren't provided on china handsets of Xiaomi, Redmi and Poco series of devices.
All of these devices are entitled for android 11 update but only Redmi knows when they might give the update, considering that the Redmi Note 8 wasn't even listed for update but unexpectedly got the android 11 update in china, We have very little info about the same. Recently they announced their latest build of MIUI thats MIUI 12.5 from what users report its lightweight fast and reliable. And if Redmi is waiting to provide the latest build for the users with android 11 then its worth the wait.
So, when will Xiaomi release redmi android 11 with MIUI 12.5 on top, Only Xiaomi knows when they might bring the update to your devices as they have mood swings and very much most unpredictable on what they do.
Is it time for Redmi to Focus on their own UI like realme, and target the budget segment with more polished and light weight UI, Its high time they start developing their own UI like the poco launcher, but instead of that they should focus more giving people option of removing ads on their device for nominal sum or directly bundle the device as ads included, that would be funny thing.
Both its parent company Xiaomi and sister company Poco wants to sell out as many devices with ads bundled and charge less margins on hardware itself, thats why we see they are priced so cheap and Redmi android 11 update also is slow, because they need to put those ads on that UI.

Xiaomi isn't very known for major OS updates and mostly redmi series are it's budget tier series which usually gets 2-3 MIUI major versions and 1-2 major OS updates depending upon the budget of the devices and fan base of the devices.
