How long will it get updates?

Since Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 has received two major OS updates, the chances of a third major update are unlikely. It will probably continue to receive Security and MIUI updates, but it may also be concluded that it is not in line with the Android 12 update list.

Therefore, Android 11 should be the last major OS update on this device.

Expected to get: MIUI 13 update.
