Samsung has finally rolled out the Samsung Galaxy M01s Android 11 Update with OneUI 3.1 for the device in India reportedly. This device won't be getting any major updates like android 12 in future and only security patches will be provided.
The Samsung Galaxy M01s was officially released in July 2020 with an Android 9 Pie. And it received the major Android 10 update in September 2020.
Now, with the Samsung Galaxy M01s Android 11 Update with OneUI 3.1 rolled out in India, its users can finally experience the latest Android 11 and OneUI 3.1 features.
As mentioned in the details, the Samsung Galaxy M01s Android 11 Update with OneUI 3.1 brings the latest July 2021 Android Security Patch along with it.
According to the report on SamMobile, this latest update brings one-time permissions, auto permissions reset, chat bubbles, Conversations section in the notifications area, a dedicated media playback widget below quick setting toggles, and improved Digital Wellbeing.
The update also brings new lock screen widgets, more Dynamic Lock screen categories, image and video call backgrounds, and a double-tap gesture to lock the screen. Samsung has also updated all the stock apps such as Samsung Gallery, Samsung Internet, Samsung Keyboard, and Samsung Messages. The company claims that it has improved the camera performance through better autofocus and auto exposure. Accessing smart home device controls has become easier.

The Samsung Galaxy M01s has received two major OS updates now. So, the chances of a third major OS update with Android 12 are unlikely.
It will probably continue to receive Security updates but it may also be concluded that it is NOT in line with the upcoming Android 12 update list and this is the last major OS update on this device.
The Samsung Galaxy M01s Android 11 update with OneUI 3.1 is being rolled out in India in batches reportedly. So, once you receive the update on your device, you will get a notification of the update.
Then, you can head over to Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update section to update your Samsung Galaxy M01s to Android 11.
