OnePlus 7 & 7 Pro Software Update:

OnePlus has started rolling out the OxygenOS 12 based on Android 12 - Open Beta 1, for OnePlus 7 & 7 Pro users. Users can participate in their Open Beta program and all the participants should update to the latest version to meet the latest upcoming build for further beta updates.

Oneplus 7 & 7 Pro was released on 04th June, 2019 with Android 9.0 out of the box.

Please keep in mind that this is a beta version of the program. These builds do not have the same level of stability as the official OTAs. There can be some risks associated with the installation of the beta version of the program.

Process:

Note: This upgrade method will not erase data but please be sure to backup first.

Note: In order to experience OxygenOS 12, please be sure that your device is on 11.0.7.1. or 11.0.8.1. version.

  1. Download the latest ROM upgrade zip package from the specified server.
  2. Copy the Upgrade package to the phone storage.
  3. Go to Settings -> System -> System Update -> Click the top right button -> Local install -> find the upgrade package and tap it -> wait to finish the installation -> tap reboot
  4. After the upgrade is complete, click Restart.
  5. Update successful.

OBT to MP rollback guide—via Local OTA update

Note: This downgrade method might erase all the contents of the phone, please be sure to backup first.

Note: After downgrading to Android 11, some applications might be lost. You can upgrade to the latest Oxygen OS 11 stable version to restore apps by downloading and installing the corresponding packages.

  1. Download the latest ROM rollback zip package from the specified server.
  2. Copy the ROM rollback package to the phone storage.
  3. Go to Settings -> About device -> Version -> Click Build number 7 times and enter the password, now you are in the developer mode.Go back Settings -> About device -> Up to date -> Click the top right button -> Local install -> Click on the corresponding rollback package -> Extract -> Upgrade -> System upgrade completed to 100%.
  4. After the rollback is complete, click Restart.
  5. Rollback successful.

OnePlus 7 Software Update:

Oneplus is rollout the incremental update with OxygenOS 11.0.8.1 with the latest May 2022 security patch for the Oneplus 7 the update is live in multiple regions with the build version of OxygenOS 11.0.8.1.GM57BA for Europe & OxygenOS 11.0.8.1.GM57AA for North America which includes general bug fixes and improvements in system stability along with the latest security patch.

Oneplus 7 was released on 04th June,2019 with Android 9.0 out of the box.

The OTA will be received by a limited number of users today and will have a broader rollout in a few days after making sure there are no critical bugs. Using VPN to download this build might not work as the rollout Is not based on regions and is randomly pushed out to a limited number of devices.

OnePlus 7 Software Update

Oneplus has rolled out OxygenOS 11 iterative software update with OxygenOS 11.0.5.1 for Oneplus 7 users with December 2021 Security Patch, along with a fix in WhatsApp wherein users were not able to send or receive files.

Oneplus 7 was released on 04th June,2019 with Android 9.0 out of the box.

Previously it was seen with October 2021 Security Patch, with a peculiar fix in the displaying call, as it had a delay which resulted to show the callers name after a few seconds.

As of now there are no signs or talk about Android 12 for Oneplus 7 Series of devices, recently the latest flagship Series of Oneplus 9 received the Android 12 update, and this year is about to end, probably Q2 2022 we can expect any information regarding stable OTA update
