As we know, OnePlus was of those OEMs who launched the beta for their devices, OnePlus Android 12 beta version was soon after Google announced the Android 12 beta update on their Google I/O. Recently, Dave Burke, the VP of Engineering for Android, announced that Android 12 becomes the most downloaded beta version in Android history just a month after release just within a month.
Android 12 offers a dedicated game mode that can display the FPS frame rate, screen recording, screenshot, and live game screens. there are several other new features like a new UI, lock screen, and widgets and a completely refreshed design.
The track of Oneplus is pretty clear, For low budget phones, the company rolls out only one major Android update for the OnePlus Nord N series phones, while the OnePlus Nord and other flagships will get up to three major OS updates.
Hence, we can say that Flagships launched with Android 9 are likely to get updated with Android 12.

Recently the company announced that it will be working with Oppo, for better integrations in the software, they got a good response in china from their testing, but the Global market use Oneplus mainly of OxygenOS because of its stock like user-interface and smoothness. We are yet to see user responses as of now for Global markets.
Only the new ColorOS 12 will decide the future and how well it performs. Any user will first and foremost would want clean android UI with fast updates, if the new OS check the basics then they will succeed or else otherwise will be known.
Oxygen OS is the skin used by OnePlus on its all smartphones. OnePlus launches its modified skin with every Android update. now we have to wait to see, what exciting features will be added to this update.
Since Beta testing already starts in a few devices like OnePus 9 series, we can assume that the Stable update will be rolled out very soon. these devices are assumed to get the Android 12 update in OnePlus with OxygenOS 12.
Recently we saw big changes in OnePlus being it, software-wise or Device wise they have been slacking in updates with most of its devices having bugs and issues.
We doubt any of the 6 Series would get, it sure that Oneplus 6 won't get as the android 11 update will be the last and 3 major OS update, but we doubt for Oneplus 6T on paper it should get, but seeing companies new face, it's highly unlikely - we will update once it is confirmed.
As per OnePlus, these devices won't be getting the latest Android OS update, [Android 12]
But according to Oneplus, they are only eligible for 1 year of update, which we think is a bad move, as similar price ranged devices are offering up to 2 years of OS update.
These devices are not included in the expected list of Android Updates and will not get any other major Android updates in future.
It's not recommended to install beta built in the primary device as it is filled with bugs and issues, only for developers and testers only.
