On 23rd August 2021, OnePlus officially rolled out the OnePlus Nord Software Update with the device getting the OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 along with the August 2021 Android Security Patch.
The latest OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 update has brought the new Bitmoji AOD feature which will place your Snapchat Bitmoji on the AOD (Always On Display) screen. The update has fixed some known issues and has also optimized the system performance.
Similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 5G OxygenOS 11.0.5.5 update and the OnePlus 9R OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 Update, this OnePlus Nord OxygenOS Update is also incremental. Therefore, it will have a broader rollout soon.
The official statement from the OnePlus was, "Hello everyone, we are starting to push the incremental roll-out of OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 for OnePlus Nord".
The OnePlus Nord received a similar Software Update last month, but it included the June 2021 Android Security Patch.
The OnePlus Nord was released in July 2020 with an Android 10 out-of-the-box.

The OnePlus Nord has received one major OS update with Android 11 in March 2021.
Therefore, it is eligible for the upcoming Android 12 update and it will be the last major OS update on this device.

The OnePlus Nord Software Update with OxygenOS 11.1.5.5 is currently rolling out in phases. And, it is soon expected to expand to other regions soon.
Once the update is available on your device, you can head over to Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update section to update your OnePlus device with the latest update.
