Xiaomi has finally released the MIUI 12.5 update for the Redmi 8A Dual users in India this week. The Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual MIUI 12.5 update has been reported by users as well as multiple sources including the Tech expert Abhishek Yadav on Twitter.
The latest update has brought a lot of new and exciting features to the Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual along with the July 2021 Android Security Patch.
The Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual MIUI 12.5 update has been rolled out in India in batches reportedly. So, it is expected to reach all the users soon. This is a stable software update for Redmi 8A Dual. However, the device still runs on Android 10.
The Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual was released in February 2020 with an Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box.

The Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual has received one major OS update with Android 10. It should normally be eligible for the Android 11 update. But, reportedly it will receive only one major OS update.
Hence, the Android 10 was probably the last major OS update on this device. Also, the MIUI 12.5 update is the last MIUI update reportedly.

As mentioned above, the Xiaomi Redmi 8A Dual MIUI 12.5 update has been rolled out in India in batches reportedly. And it is expected to reach all the users soon.
Once the update is available on your device, you can head over to Settings >> About Phone >> Software Update section to update your Xiaomi device with the latest update.
