Xiaomi Android 11 Update Tracker : Devices getting update so far yes, Xiaomi is very late in major-OS updates as always but this time they started early with beta testing and released the major update to flagship series of devices.
But we all know how Xiaomi works they just improve MIUI version and not focus on android major OS updates on its devices, their MIUI updates pack new OS features without the actual new OS that's interesting to say the least. And several users also reported that its MIUI 12 version of update is quite heavy even the high end devices slow down some times.
Still its not half bad as the MIUI counter part offer great features and flexibility to its user with launch MIUI 12.5 users reported that its by far the smoothest experience from Xiaomi.
What I don't like about Xiaomi is they launch new phones rebranded into poco and redmi both are Xiaomi sub brands they only tweak small changes and launch those phone without caring much on providing major OS updates to the users. Their budget segment of devices lack fast OS updates and Xiaomi need to improve on this, we they can provide good hardware, then they should also focus on software aspect as well.
Xiaomi android 11 update Heres the list of devices.
Most of its Flagships devices have already received android 11 update and it's the 2019 series of Flagships devices next in line to get android 11 update , most likely they will release the android 11 in China soon enough now, and eventually global version will also get the update.
So far Mi Series of devices have already gotten android 11 update, but their budget tier redmi series is still lacking and way behind for android 11 updates and only few of its devices have got the OS update.
Xiaomi android 11 update isn't big as their major-OS updates don't have any technical value for its users but only as kernel point of view its important. Majority of its updates are directly focused on its MIUI which shines the most every year. Its a good UI with visually good features and top of the line animations. The only con about their UI is bloatware and Ads bundled along the device.
They have implement ads very deeply inside the system, like after installing a app, its shows pop-up interstitial ads, Like their MIUI was build to earn money from ads, from wallpaper to theming everywhere theirs ads and paid stuff which is the most disgusting part of MIUI.
Xiaomi is one the OEM's who focuses on copying other's UX mostly from apple as most of its devices have similar look and feel, but with android essence on top. Targeted mostly to budget users as the devices sell like hot cakes on that price range. But don't expect any major OS updates with fast rollouts and timely security updates as it's unlikely, but they are far better than LG in terms of software and security updates.

Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 11 update bugs & issues round 2 user's have reported on twitter the second phase of android 11 update has appeared with 1.4GB of size with software version 12.0.3.0, Most user's have given approval and safe to update it. But there are few bugs here and there for some users lets go deep about the known problems and issues.
Mi A3 started getting the December security update, the file size is 30mb, The update is safe as of now but few users reported bugs as usual like app crashing, camera is buggy, UI drop in frames, Jittery & sluggish performance etc.
Mi A3 started receiving android 11 update once again and many users haven't faced any bricking issue or dead phone but it isn't that exciting to say the least as many users still have few problem like app crashing, unresponsive UI, system not responding etc.
More bugs like a slow charging bug, no Wi-Fi calling, no chat bubbles, random reboots, and touchscreen issues — in short, you might be better off sticking with Android 10 for now if you haven't updated already.
The latest build of android 11 update has appeared with 1.4GB of size with software version 12.0.3.0. - Better to wait ( But for the most part these updates won't be rectified as early as possible and new bugs will appear here and there from my experience.)
Xiaomi has promised to rectify user who got their phone bricked or dead from android 11 and will resolve it free of cost even if it's not in warranty.
But we suspect a different story depends on the service center like they will somehow manage to pay for something or the other beware and always ask the report sheet before handing over the phone.

So, Mi A3 users in India started receiving march security patch on march 15, 2021 the update is 184mb, so far users didn't find any major bugs yet and given a thumbs for other users to install.
Because of Xiaomi Mi A3 Android 11 update bricking alot of its devices users are hesitant to install new updates from Xiaomi and are waiting for other users to try first. Definitely many users will be worried and there's no chance when the device gets bricked as most users in India don't backup their devices and eventually lost their important files and have to deal with it.
The problem is android one devices are well known for its software update, but also notoriously known for major bugs being introduced as well, It happened alot with Google's Nexus line of devices as well, were they used to go into boot-loop issue & their first android one lineup of devices also didn't survive much after 2 year mark and run into many software problems and boot-loop issues.
So, In conclusion here's the end android one lineup of devices as many manufacturers aren't giving any commitment for quality of updates and just rolling out the updates without proper testing, and moving towards their own custom UI's with ads, So, consumer should start fighting back and ask for what they want unless that happens it won't change how things are going right now.
Thank you for reading our blog we are updatify now who are trying to bring quality news and updates to consumer related to android updates, please follow us on our social media handles.
