OnePlus 8 Software Update:

OnePlus has started rolling out the new build of OxygenOS 12 update via OTA for the OnePlus 8 model. The latest software update comes with build number IN2011_11.C.21 is the second update this month for the device which has brought some system hotfixes and Camera enhancements for a better experience.

OnePlus 8 was released on April 21st, 2020 with Android 10 out-of-the-box, upgradable to Android 12, OxygenOS 12 (as of 2022)

Some minor fixes and changes can be seen in the new update for the system of the device. After enabling the Quick Launch on the device, some of the gesture operations worked abnormally which hindered the performance of the device. Gladly, the issue has been fixed in this update.

Abnormal behaviour of the screen in certain scenarios after locking the device was an issue occurring in the previous update which has now been resolved. System stability has been improved for better user experience and device performance. The Ultra Steady feature in the Camera would frequently crash in certain scenarios which have now been fixed.

OnePlus 8 Software Update:

OnePlus has started the staged rollout of the C.20 Update via OTA for the OnePlus 8 model. The latest comes with May 2022 Security Patch with C.20 update has been released for Indian, European, and North American regions with their respective build numbers.

OnePlus 8 was released on April 21st, 2020 with Android 10 out-of-the-box, upgradable to Android 12, OxygenOS 12 (as of 2022)

This time, the device does not receive any significant upgrades. The device's performance and user experience have both increased as a result of greater system stability. For security reasons, the Android security patch was updated to May 2022.

As of now, this is a staged rollout. The update will reach a small fraction of users to ensure there are no critical bugs. If no bugs are found, the full rollout will be completed in a few days.

OnePlus 8 Software Update

OnePlus officially rolled out the OxygenOS 11 Iterative Update for OnePlus 8 with the device getting the OxygenOS 11.0.10.10 along with the December 2021 Security Patch this update also fixes the issues in the UI Display in setting interface, with a fix in Google Assistant and GPay in the Setup Wizard and the low probability issue of WhatsApp crash.

One thing to note, the community & users of Oneplus 8 are disappointed with the new update even though the update particularly says a fix in the UI display of the Settings Interface.

OnePlus 8 OxygenOS Update (OxygenOS 11)

On 17th August 2021, OnePlus officially rolled out the OnePlus 8 OxygenOS Update with the device getting the OxygenOS 11.0.8.8 along with the August 2021 Android Security Patch Update.

The latest OxygenOS 11.0.8.8 update has brought the new Bitmoji AOD feature which will place your Snapchat Bitmoji on the AOD (Always On Display) screen. The update has fixed some known issues and has also optimized the system performance.

Similar to the OnePlus Nord CE 5G OxygenOS 11.0.5.5 update and the OnePlus 9R OxygenOS 11.2.4.4 Update, this OnePlus 8 OxygenOS Update is also incremental. Therefore, it will have a broader rollout soon.

The official statement from the OnePlus was, "Hey everyone, we are starting to push the incremental rollout of a new OxygenOS update for the OnePlus 8 in the EU region now, IN and NA regions will soon follow".

Hence, the update is being rolled out in Europe right now. India and North America will soon receive the OnePlus 8 OxygenOS Update.

The OnePlus 8 was released in April 2020 with an Android 10 out-of-the-box.
