It's been 9 months since the release of Android 12 and brands are constantly releasing the stable updates for their flagship and old devices. Are you still wondering if your device is eligible for the Android 12 update? This post is for you! We have made up a list of all the brands and their devices who are either eligible for the update or not and those who have received the Android 12 update.
Android 12 was released on October 4, 2021, developed by Google.
Many of the devices have already received the Android 12 update and many of them are still in the waiting line. Keep scrolling down to find your device, we've covered it all.
Meaning: A12 - Android 12

Following the Pixel 6 event in October, Google released the Android 12 stable version after releasing five betas. For most of the Google Pixel devices, Google has released Android 12. When Google unveiled the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro in October of last year, they were the only devices that could use A12.
Users with A12 phones will have access to all the OS's features, such as the Material You design, security, cool widgets, etc. The complete list of Google products that can be updated to Android 12 is shown below:

Samsung releases updates at an amazing rate, and hundreds of devices have already received the One UI 4 update. It's very astonishing how much ground Samsung has gained on its rivals. Even the official One UI 4 roadmap has not kept up with it.
The company released the first stable Android 12 update on 15th November, 2021.
In addition to Google, Samsung was one of the first producers to release A12 for the majority of its products. When it comes to releasing Android updates for its smartphones, Samsung has always lagged behind. With its One UI 4 Form, Samsung has already advanced Android 12 after a protracted period of modest progress. The company is prepared to go past the Galaxy S21 series after completing the beta testing phase.

When it comes to releasing Android upgrades, OnePlus has always been reliable. It has consistently given users updates more quickly than other smartphone OEMs. However, a lot of people were curious as to when the business will make A12 available to all users.
The OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro came with the stable release of Android 12. Nonetheless, serious flaws and issues quickly forced it to be briefly discontinued; however, it was later resolved, and it is now readily available everywhere.
Note: According to the recent statements by OnePlus, devices not older than 3 years will receive the A12 update but Nord N10 and Nord N100 are ineligible for the update since they're only eligible for a single software update policy.

Realme has also revealed Realme UI 3.0, its own Android 12 version, along with other IT behemoths and producers. Realme does not offer Material You, similar to ColorOS and MiUi. The company is shifting its attention back to the animation process and the thoughtful use of white space.
Realme unveiled Realme UI 3.0 on October 13th, 2021 in an event along with the launch of Realme GT Neo 2. Realme has been consistent in providing OTA and software updates for its flagship devices. Here is the list of devices who have received the A12 update and eligible devices for the update:

According to Nokia's "Android One" policy, they provide up to two years of OS upgrades along with three years of security updates, while some of their most recent X series models have committed to providing up to three years of OS updates.
The third-largest maker of network equipment in the world, Nokia appears to be falling behind its rivals this time around due to the Android update. Let's see how Nokia sticks up to its competitors in such challenging situations. Here is the list of Nokia that have received the A12 update:

One of the businesses that releases regular OS upgrades the quickest is Oppo. The beta version of Android 11 was released on one day, while the stable version of the upgrade was released on the following month.
Numerous Oppo handsets, including the Find and Reno, have already been using A12. We now know which smartphones will receive the most recent updates thanks to Oppo's schedule for timely deployment of software updates.
Oppo released its first Android 12 stable update in October 2021.
Following is the list of devices that have already received the Android 12 update:

The bulk of smartphone manufacturers have released their custom UI built on Android 12 after the debut of Android 12 in October. The FunTouch OS 12 for the Vivo and iQOO phones was recently unveiled by Vivo, who has now released a timeline and many more elements of their unique skin. To provide a smooth experience, Vivo's latest Android skin update receives some significant incremental improvements.

Check out the list below if your device has received the update or eligible to receive Android 12:

Although the hardware of the actual gadget is fantastic, LG is incredibly slow to release upgrades. Software is the area where LG is lacking. It was a glimpse of hope or a miracle when LG fans started receiving Android 12 updates in April for their devices. It will include LG UX, which is based on Android 12.
See the list below if your device is eligible to receive the Android 12 update:

While other producers have started working on Android 13, Infinix is having trouble pushing the Android 12 update to compatible smartphones. For software upgrades, Infinix does not have a solid track record. It is quite unfortunate that Infinix has not updated even one device to Android 12. The Infinix Zero 5G is anticipated to receive the Android 12 upgrade in August.
Here is the list of all the possible Infinix devices that were released with Android 11 out-of-the-box and may/will be eligible for the Android 12 update:

A lengthy list of Tecno's products that will receive the Android 12 update has not been released. The Tecno Camon 17 and Tecno Phantom X will receive the Android 12 upgrade, the manufacturer has stated. Other than these two, no Tecno smartphones have received formal confirmation that they will receive the most recent Android upgrade. However, based on the history of the company's software rollouts, we may anticipate the Android 12 upgrade for a few additional devices that we've mentioned below.
In May 2022, the company rolled out the Developer Preview Program for Tecno Camon 17 and we're anticipating that pretty soon, the device would receive the stable update of the Android 12 alongside Tecno Phantom X.

Indian OEMs such as Lava Mobiles have almost vanished from the market. Backed in the corner by various competitors once, the company hasn't been focusing much on releasing software updates for their devices.
Lava hasn't released any official list of the supported devices for the Android 12 update. Still, here's the list of devices that may/might be eligible for the Android 12 update.

Though Asus is spreading their name and capturing the laptop world, Asus is somewhere stepping away from the smartphone market. Still, most of their flagship devices have received the Android 12 update.
You can check if your device has received the update or eligible for the update fromthe list below:

Just over a year ago, in March 2021, Micromax introduced the third smartphone in its new IN smartphone family. The Micromax IN1 shipped with Android 10 out of the box and promised to receive frequent Android OS updates. We all know that Micromax hasn't been able to provide upgrades for the IN1 directly to Android 12 yet due to unidentified reasons, but it now appears that they won't need much time.
Micromax hasn't released any official list of eligible devices for the Android 12, but here's a list of devices that may receive the update in the near future.

ZTE is to join the list too for Android 12 though there aren't many devices that have received the Android update. But here's the list of eligible devices:
Android 12 was officialy released by Google in October 2021 and since then, brands have been racing their way to the next OS release, the Android 13. While some brands are regularly updating their flagship devices, others are struggling to stay in this market due to huge competition. The only way they could make a comeback is by meeting the customer needs and demands at this point.
Cheers if you're device is receiving the Android 12 update! While we have rolled out the Android 12 update list, stay tuned with us for the Android 13 update list for all devices. Until then, keep updatifying!

Google just released Android 13 Beta 2 right after its impressive I/O 2022 developer conference. Here are some of the biggest new features in the second public preview of the next version of Android.
Release date: 11 May 2022, for Beta 2
In this second Android 13 Beta, Google tweaks and tunes the Pixel-specific operating system, but there are only a few minor changes. In any case, Android 13 is likely to arrive later this year alongside the recently teased Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro, and we thought you should be aware of some of the notable changes.
Previous Update: Android 13 Beta 1: First Impressions & Details

In Android 12 QPR beta paths, we saw the vibrate status bar icon disappear. However, in the Beta 2 build, we saw a dedicated toggle replace it. A buzzing smartphone icon will appear alongside Wi-Fi, signal, Do Not Disturb, and battery icons when the toggle is turned on in Settings. Set it to on and it will appear in the "Sound & vibration" section.
You can now set up dark mode schedules so that the darkened theme is applied automatically when you enter Bedtime mode on your phone. This does not always work and requires you to set up a Bedtime mode schedule within the Digital Wellbeing suite first.
When you long-press an icon on your device an icon on this “dock” you’ll also get a quick toggle to enter split-screen mode without ever needing to enter the Recents app menu. This could be a great reachability enhancement when using larger tablets and foldable screens.
There are some further adjustments to the button layout of the notification and lock screen media player. Firstly, Quick skip will move the forward and backward controls from either side of the playback program bar to the right of the player. This makes it easier to find all of your controls but these icons have not been fully themed — or at least at this stage look out of place.
A new popup occurs when starting a long press on any media player window as part of the media resumption control. The pop-up will confirm if a player can be hidden with more prominent “Hide” and “Cancel” M3 buttons that you can press. However, the “Settings” button has now been removed in favour of a small cog icon in the upper right of this smaller player.
In the Android 13 Beta 2 update, there are a number of key animations have been updated and tuned. The most prominent is when unlocking your device. Tapping and pressing the in-display scanner on the Pixel 6 series pulsates in a more prominent manner and once unlocked there is a new expansion animation that sees your home screen icons float into view.
In Android 13 Beta 2, the useful battery level widget that you may put on your home screen to track your smartphone and accessory charge levels has been changed. If you don't have any connected devices, such as Bluetooth earbuds, the widget will now display the current battery level of your Pixel. Furthermore, rather than the somewhat confusing "Settings Services" section, the widget now lives in a specific "Battery" section when placing or searching for it.
The default setting for the Battery Saver mode has been increased from 5% to 10%. This is likely to help extend durability much farther than the lower amount would allow. You can always manually enable the lowest option to get around this, but we're hoping it will return in a future build.
Android 13 is now ready for testing on more OEM devices, following several months of development. Apart from Google Pixel, 11 additional brands will release Android 13 releases for their devices:

Are you planning to buy the best android phone in 2022? Don't worry, we've got you covered. We researched some of the best brands and their flagship models. Finding the right phone can be a hassle sometimes since there are countless options to go through and everyone has different needs.
Last year we covered the same story 5 Best Software Android Phones in 2021 – Most Software versions, but this time we are including 10 devices to consider for the top spot as the brands have definitely up their game this year in 2022
It's not just about a phone with a good camera. One has to take price, RAM, resolution, storage, OS, battery life etc. into account and then buy the best phone that meets their demands. And that's where we come in.
So basically, this is what we look for in an Ideal Best Software Android Phone in 2022. Firstly, we list the top picks and then, list the phone that beats all odds.

From specifications to software updates, we will provide you with the list of the top 10 best android phones in 2022 with most software updates so you don't have to go from website to website just for some minor details.

Simply one of the best Android phones in the market right now. Thanks to the 10x optical zoom and 100x digital zoom, this phone's camera beats all other mobile phone cameras right now. The S pen stylus is another highlight of this model and with its sleek design, new tech features and improved camera quality surely tops the market right now.
Battery life could be improved and though the cost is very much higher than the other brands, the features they are providing are worth the cost. A worth price tag some might add.
Samsung is outbidding with the launch of its S22 range in 2022. Samsung is promising to provide up to 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates. This includes not only just the S22 range but also Samsung's other flagship devices such as S21 Ultra, S21+, S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 3.
Samsung S22 Ultra was launched with Android 12, One UI 4.1 out-of-the-box.
The updates usually come on a monthly or quarterly basis. We'll have to wait before the updates reach all the other devices for the time being. As promised, Samsung is outpacing all the other brands in terms of updates and its time period.

Most high-end phone by Google, its crisp QHD+ display is very impressive. The triple-lens camera also supports 4x optical zoom. Then comes the Google Tensor silicon chipset which is capable of delivering outstanding performance. For an Android phone, it is an impressive handset.
Though the design is impressive for an Android handset, it is disapproved by many users and many of them rendered it disputable design. Battery life of the phone can be much improved.
Immediately following Samsung's announcement of four years' OS and five years' security updates, Google had to be on the list again. Users of Pixel devices are guaranteed 3 years of OS updates along with 5 years of Security Patch from Google, which is known for its regular and rapid updates, particularly its day-one updates. The Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro is your best option if you want to experience the latest Android version and features.
What makes Google Pixel 6 stand out from ll the other smartphones is the Titan M2 security chip. Previous models of Pixel series already contained the Titan chip for handling such features, but Google Pixel 6 has received the highest rating in terms of security.
Among the features of the Tensor chip is the Tensor security core, a CPU-based system that works alongside the Titan M2 security chip to safeguard user data. It makes Pixel even more resilient to attacks. Basically, it is a physical device which is meant for security like authentication, and confidential information such as bank, purchases etc.

Realme GT 2 Pro offers all the specifications that a flagship smartphone offers. The device also comes with the fast-charging advantage so you won't have to wait much longer for your phone to charge. If you have less budget and you want a phone with impressive features, this is the one.
With the technological advancement, wireless charging will/has become the new normal. Realme GT 2 Pro doesn't support wireless charging which is one major con. Another one is the basic camera. The main camera and wide camera are impressive enough but the phone doesn't support the telephoto zoom option.
Realme matched the Google's news of four years of OS and five years of security updates. On 28th February, Realme announced that their two most premium phones yet, Realme GT 2 and Realme GT 2 Pro, are going to get 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security updates.
Realme hasn't been able to join the list with Samsung and OnePlus, but with its constant software updates and improvement on the basic necessities of a smartphone will surely bring wonders for the company.

You're getting a lot of features for a good price. With super fast 80W charging and its impressive 6.7 1440 x 3216 screen, the design of this phone is incredibly beautiful. With the release of the phone last month, the design and the software makes this a highly recommended phone.
The major problem occurring with this is the camera quality. Though the phone has 50MP ultra wide and 48MP camera, the 8MP telephoto lens has been a constant struggle and sometimes the main cameras aren't that bright and perfect. The screen is also big for some users.
One week after the launch, OnePlus released the first update for the 10 Pro which improved a lot of camera quality, portrait mode etc and also stabilized some previously known fixed issues. OnePlus has also confirmed that they're going to be giving out multiple updates for their flagship phones for atleast three to four years (3 years of OS updates & 4 years of Security Patch). So, for the best android user experience, OnePlus is the one to go with.

With impressive specs at lower price, this PRO handset of Xiaomi clearly stands out. With its sleek design and ridiculously fast 120W charging, it is clearly one of the best handsets at lower price. Not to forget the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and large 5,000mAh battery.
People have constantly nagged Xiaomi for its bloated software. The telephoto camera with a restrictive 2x zoom is also a downer.
With the Android 12 out-of-the-box launch for 12 and 12 Pro, Xiaomi has promised 3 years of OS updates and 4 years of security patches for the two models. Xiaomi has been quite consistent in delivering promising software updates. While their model 12X did not get any such commitment for the OS and security updates.

The folding form factor - the durability of folding lets you the android experience in a whole new way. It stands alone, letting you play games, watch videos etc. in a whole unique way. There is the waterproofing advantage so you don't need to worry about your phone the next time a moving car throws water on you on a rainy day. And of course, the S Pen support. Take creativity to a whole new level with the S pen.
With the folding feature comes the heaviness. Not easy to carry due to its weight. Another disadvantage is the price. $1800 for this phone is very expensive, which throws it down to the list. Cameras could be better. Many smartphones have more than 48MP camera but its rear camera is still stuck on 12 MP which sets it back.
Samsung has promised to provide upto 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates not only to the S22 in range but also for the flagship phones of 2021 considering S21 range, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The latest security patch for Galaxy Z Fold 3 5G was released on 22nd March 2022. The latest software update introduced the new One UI 4.1, with gallery and camera enhancements, RAM Plus, App cast in Smart view etc.

Vivo has always been consistently good with its camera and again, thus phone has a very impressive camera quality. Keeping up with the advancement, it comes with both fast wired and wireless charging. With the IP68 water-resistance quality, you don't need to put your phone in a bag of rice next time it gets dropped in water. Special mention for its specs and display. Kudos to Vivo for it.
It has a boring and frustrating software. It has always been a weak spot of Vivo. The Funtouch Os 12 skin is frustrating and sometimes not easy to use, it lags behind the quality of Android experience where OnePlus and Samsung have always been improving the user experience with their updates and security patches. The design and rear finish is also unusual which doesn't appeal to the user and seems boring as per the experience of the users.
One good thing about Vivo's software is the commitment to the updates. Vivo has confirmed that they're going to give atleast three years of software and security updates. The X70 Pro+ came with Android 11 out-of-the-box and as per their commitment, X70 Pro+ is going to get updates till Android 14. It is beating some major brands in the software update competition.

Oppo has always been super impressive when it comes to camera quality. Its 50MP main camera is great and impressive, and special mention to its 32MP front camera. From its 80W wired and 50W wireless charging, this smartphone is known for its super fast charging.
The zoom camera is not the thing to be praised. Its limited 2x optical zoom throws it down the list because there is both advantage and disadvantage with the camera which should rather have been consistently great. Another complaint is the buggy software which has always bugged Oppo for it.
Oppo stated that they intend to increase their monthly security updates from two to three years for their X3 series. Oppo also plans to provide up to 4 years of OS updates to a wide range of its devices. With the latest flagship phone Find X5 Pro, we can see that Oppo will be giving out alteast three years of updates to their flagship devices.

One of the best android phones out there. It certainly is a flagship phone seeing its flagship-level performance. Front camera quality is really impressive. Talking about the main feature, the flip, the design of the phone is super impressive and it's big enough to show you all the important notifications and background running applications. The best part is that it is water resistant.
The battery issue of this smartphone is a problem. Though it is a flagship-level phone, its battery life doesn't match with the other flagship phones in the market. Although front camera is quite good, primary cameras aren't that impressive.
Samsung has promised to provide upto 4 years of OS updates and 5 years of security updates not only to the S22 in range but also for the flagship phones of 2021 considering S21 range, Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3.
The latest Android security patch for March 2022 for Galaxy Z Flip 3 5G was released on 28th March 2022. The latest software update introduced the new One UI 4.1, with gallery and camera enhancements, RAM Plus, App cast in Smart view, etc.

Vivo iQOO 9 Pro has a powerful processor and solid build quality. With its superb 50MP rear cameras and 16MP front camera, it makes one of the best phones to buy for camera quality. It also has 50W wireless charging and 120W wired charging which charges the phone very fast. It will take you around 20-25 minutes to fully charge your phone from 0 to 100%.
First of all, there's no SD card slot which is a major con. The next thing is ads in the UI which can be irritating and frustrating at times. It is also not water-resistant which is a very common feature nowadays in most smartphones. There are tons of pre-installed applications which makes the phone a bit heavier.
On 23rd February 2022, it began to sail in India and received its first software update which fixed some of the bugs and issues and also fixed some compatibility and network issues. Last year in September, iQOO announced that they were going to give out two major Android updates and three years of security updates for the iQOO 7 series and iQOO Z3.
We're pretty sure that a 2022 model could be receiving 2-3 years of Android updates and 3-4 years of security updates in the future. And with some really good specs, it is surely one of the many good Android smartphones out there.
It is a fact that no phone is perfect. Every smartphone has its own pros and cons. Most importantly, it all comes down to the customer and his/her needs. The customer has to match all the things he/she will be needing in a smartphone, including the most important thing, the price, and then buy what suits the best. You will be getting extreme good quality camera in a phone but it might lack the required RAM or buggy software issue. Another phone may have the required specifications but it would be too big in the size which just doesn't comfort the user.
Brands such as Vivo, Realme etc. are growing rapidly as they continue to release new and exciting products and the latest security updates so the user won't have to switch to other brands just for the sake of the latest software and quality. With lakhs of choices among the Android phones, go for the one that tick marks your entire check list and read all the reviews before buying it.

Google released the Android 12 Beta 4 this month and attained the Platform Stability phase with the update. However, the catch was that the update contained several issues which were reported by the Android 12 Beta users.
The official Android Developers were quick to act on the issues and have released the Android 12 Beta 4.1 Update bringing an end to these reported issues. Much to the happiness of the users, Google released the update within two weeks of the complaints.
This Android 12 Beta 4.1 Update is similar to the Android 12 Beta 3.1 and Beta 2.1 updates as they were also released in order to fix the bugs in their preceding updates.
The most important bug that this update has fixed is the VPN issue which happened to most of the Android 12 Beta users. What happened was, when you connected your phone to VPN, it could not reconnect to the internet. Now, this issue doesn't exist anymore.
The Pixel devices which have received the Android 12 Beta 4.1 Update are Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3a, Pixel 3a XL, Pixel 4, Pixel 4 XL, Pixel 4a, Pixel 4a 5G, and Pixel 5.
